Not all our pets have been shown here before. Sure, we've shown all the mammals; but not the hundreds of fish we have in six tanks!
Here's our largest, a 46 gallon freshwater tank. No plastic plants here, they're all real. The fish like them as much as we do. I take care of the fish. Chris is the soggy green thumb behind the plants, keeping all the nutrient levels perfectly balanced to grow plants, but not algae.
And a few more, including a golden loach. In appearance and behavior, they're like an aquatic ferret.
Here's another one. He was camera shy, and only wanted to show his tail and top fin; which is what we wanted to show anyway.
This giant is bigger than your hand, gentle as a lamb, and looks like he's sniffing a flower like Ferdinand. The other angelfish never accepted him, so he got moved here; where he's happy and doesn't even bother fish that could fit in his mouth.
Just thought I'd share some of the beauty. Many a night we've drifted off to sleep peacefully watching our tanks. Fishy dreams to all!
